Professional women's tennis is coming to Ireland this summer, and you won't want to miss it.

This July & August, the 2026 DLR Irish Open returns to Carrickmines Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club for a third year, and it's bigger than ever. For the first time in over 40 years, Ireland will host a women's professional event at this level, with the women's tournament upgraded to World Tennis Tour W50 status and running alongside the men's M15.

That means stronger international fields, higher stakes, and a rare chance to watch Ireland's top players take on the professional tour without leaving home.
A week of world tour tennis on your doorstep

We're proud to welcome Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council as title partner, whose support is helping grow the Irish Open into a two-week festival of tennis in South County Dublin.

There's plenty for Irish tennis to be excited about, too. Tennis Ireland has secured wild cards into both draws, and our players can earn their place through a brand new wild card play-off at DLR's Beckett Park in mid-July, a real pathway to compete against top international talent on home soil.

As Tennis Ireland CEO Kevin Quinn puts it: "It's a significant moment for the Irish Open, and a real milestone with the upgrade of our women's tournament to W50 level."
